Brian Honsberger – Executive Director

Musician, Audio Engineer, and Entrepreneur. In 2012, Brian established UPstage Group, one of the founding brands of UP2 Productions. Brian has successfully lead the company through an incredible merger of talents and capabilities with Prescott Pro Sound and Backline Bob Rentals.

Brian is thrilled to continue all 3 brands’ traditions of excellent service and community involvement while achieving even higher levels production value for live events and state-of-the-art system design and installation.

In addition to UP2 Productions, Brian and his wife also own and operate Kat’s Artist Tree Music, Dance, and Art Academy in Goodyear, AZ. They are also founding board members of Triad Performing Arts of Arizona, a non-profit 501c3 dedicated to providing new and unique performance opportunities in theater, dance, and music.


Zachary Drake – General Manager

Developing a love of photography, art, and storytelling at an early age, Zachary began his video career working with Jeff Robertson of Big Picture Video Production. Learning the art of storytelling through documentary-style video production, Zachary traveled the world with the American Wheelchair Mission, documenting the distribution of free wheelchairs to those in need.

Although Zachary continues to travel and produce videos for the American Wheelchair Mission, he joined the Prescott Pro Production team in 2021. Working closely with the owner and founder of Prescott Pro Production, Zachary strives to continue the tradition of nurturing an environment of client-centered focus to create happy, lifelong customers. Prescott Pro Production has a fantastic team of engineers and technicians, and Zachary is thrilled to work alongside them.


Ted Leonard – Founder PPS

Ted was born in Pawtucket RI in 1956. He lived just over the state line in Seekonk, Massachusetts until the age of 9 when his family moved to Southern Ireland for 2 years.

Ted began playing drums at the age of 13 at the request of his cousin George – a song writer and performer 9 years his elder. By the age of 16, Ted was playing all over the North East from New York to Maine while still attending high school.  

By 1977, Ted left the music business for the family automotive business. In March of 1999 Ted moved to Prescott Arizona an resumed his musical pursuits. The need for a quality sound -company became apparent quickly, and in 2003 Ted started Prescott Pro Sound. Under Ted’s leadership, Prescott Pro Sound became a well-respected full production company providing sound, lighting, video and streaming services.

Is there a lot more to the story? Ted says yes, of course. We can talk about it over a cup of coffee but for now we’ll see you at the next event for sure!!  Cheers !!

Jimmy Holub, Systems Integration

James “Jimmy” Holub joined the UP2 Productions team in January 2022 with over 20 years of experience in the Audio Engineering field.   He began full-time as the Head Sound Tech & Scoring Systems Tech for 4 years with the University of Wisconsin Badgers Athletic Department, working all their stadium & arena venues.  After moving to Phoenix in 2005, Jimmy worked as a pro AV systems installer with Audio Video Resources where he was integral to several large-scale system installations.   In addition, Jimmy led several installation projects as a part-time employee of Upstage for several years.  During this time, Jimmy also freelanced as a sound engineer and stagehand with the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees (IATSE Local 336, Phoenix, AZ.

 Jimmy holds an A.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology from the Wisconsin School of Electronics (Madison, WI)

Camden Martinez, Warehouse and Operations

UP2 Productions is thrilled to have Camden Martinez as their Production Assistant. With seven years of experience in the live entertainment industry and a strong background in theatrical production management, Camden brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team. Camden joined the company in January 2020 and has been an invaluable asset ever since. His dedication and passion for the industry are evident in their work, and He looks forward to contributing to the next event’s success.

Phoenix Roldan- Production Assistant

Phoenix Roldan is the Production Assistant in UP2 Productions, where he keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes by scheduling crews, making sure everything is booked properly, heading up the billing department and assisting in whatever role may be necessary. With a good mix of office efficiency and hands-on production experience, he thrives in both structured planning and the fast-paced unpredictable nature of live events. Phoenix is currently Dante Level 2 certified and is always looking to expand their knowledge base, trying to dive deeper into audio, video, lighting, and networking. He enjoys the challenge of problem-solving in high-pressure environments and situations. He loves the thrill that comes with seeing a project come to life through what he can contribute to the team and seeing it through to completion.

Beyond work, Phoenix also has a creative side that fuels his passion for production. Whether building custom furniture, capturing moments through photography and video, or learning new technical skills, he enjoys making things that are both functional and meaningful. They see every project as an opportunity to learn, improve, and eventually grow into leadership roles. With a strong work ethic and a love for both the technical and creative aspects of production, Phoenix is dedicated to leaving a lasting impact in the industry.

Brenden Pelfrey – Account & Production Manager

Brenden is a versatile A1 Audio Engineer and Production Manager, blending technical expertise with musical talent to deliver exceptional live and studio experiences. With over 6 years in the live event industry, and a lifetime making music and hanging out in studios, Brenden has toured the country multiple times, mixing everywhere from clubs to arenas, and has worked with a wide variety of artists across all genres, ensuring every performance is sonically rich, precise, and with the aim to get as close to a studio mix as possible on the stage.

As a Pro Audio Engineer, Brenden brings a meticulous ear, musical experience, and technical knowledge to every project, whether mixing live sound, designing audio systems, or fine-tuning studio recordings. Every detail is handled with care to create a polished, immersive sound that enhances the artist and listener experience.

In addition to their engineering skills, Brenden is also a talented Drum, Stage, and Backline Technician, trusted for their ability to manage the technical side of instrument setups and ensure everything is in perfect working order for every show. With a passion for hands-on technical work, Brenden brings a deep understanding of live performance needs and a quick, problem-solving approach to any situation.

As a multi-instrumentalist, Brenden is proficient in guitar, bass, drums, and keys, with a unique ability to connect with the musicians they work with. Whether on stage or in the studio, this musical versatility helps create an intuitive and collaborative atmosphere, ensuring every project hits the right note.

With a reputation for professionalism, creativity, and a laid-back, approachable style, Brenden is a trusted partner for artists and production teams alike. From complex logistics to perfecting the sound, Brenden brings passion and expertise to every project, ensuring the show always goes smoothly, artists are happy, and the audience receives an immersive experience.
